Why this Date?

We chose this date in partnership with the men based on what has worked in the past. We chose this city because what better place to create opportunities than in a city with a ton of possibilities. The date is also based on availability at the best rates.

Why this City & Hotel?

This hotel is close to the strip and was accommodating in meeting our needs and budget. We have had great success having the convention is Las Vegas. Come and what being with like minded people in this setting is all about!

Do you have to be a member or graduate to attend?

No that is the beauty of our convention -- it is open to anyone regardless of their membership or if they attended a weekend. We hope that women are inspired to join the Family of Women after being around all of us that attend. Invite everyone to attend!

There was a seminar my friend did last year that I did not ... will it be on the schedule this year?

We did survey the participants in 2010 so that we could be aware of topics that people were interested in having at future conventions. Some of the most popular seminars may be presented again this year.

When will the schedule of seminars be available?

Two of our women are on a joint MDI / FOW Content committee who is diligently reviewing the many requests to present seminar topics. The topics will be announced as they are approved and confirmed with the instructor/presenter. Watch the website(s) and your email for more details.

When will the schedule of social events be available?

As the details are firmed up we will be publishing sign-up details, venues and any additional participation costs. Watch the websites for more details.

Will I have time to attend a "show" in Las Vegas while I'm there?

This trip is yours to plan. You can choose to spend your entire weekend at the Rio with the activities there and/or some of your time exploring the many things Las Vegas has to offer. We anticipated that some may want to come a day early or extend their trip a day or so -- thus you have the option when you register to add additional hotel nights at our pre-registration savings rate. Installment Payments.

All registration fees must be paid in full prior to the convention. Initially there was a three-payment option. As the convention draws closer the number of payment options will decrease. Your installment status, cost and payments will be coordinated by the registration team. Their contact information will be on your confirmation.

Roommate Selection.

If you have a specific roommate you have pre-selected, both registrations must list each other. You have the choice to find a roommate or pay the single supplement.

Is there still space available to join the Convention teams?

There are many ways you can help support the convention. Specific deadlines and a clearing process are necessary to be on the production team. Is there a scholarship available for my travel costs?

Currently there is no International Scholarship fund for this purpose. Please contact your Territory Leader to check for other assistance ideas.Fundraising - why? The men of the MDI have been paying the majority of the costs of the convention. Our FOW Territories have contributed some of their funds to defray a percentage of the support team costs. We are fund-raising to assist with the costs that FOW production and core teams incur that are not covered by those funds. Launch of the fundraising site www.fowfundraising.info will be on August 23, 2011. Please bookmark and watch that site for wonderful savings on products that you or your family and friends can use themselves or for wonderful gifts!

When was the first convention?

The men had a convention in 2009. A few women attended that were in relationship with men that were attending. They had a vision to create a partnership for this event and thus the first convention for the FOW was borne from their efforts and held in 2010.

How was the Core team selected?

Our core team was primarily filled by women attending the 2010 conference and immediately stepping up to lead for 2011. Come participate and step up for 2012 at the convention in 2011!

What if I want to change a detail on my registration such as add a roommate or change from single to double occupancy?

Once you register, you can adjust details by going to the registration site again and following the instructions.

Can I bring my family, kids?

There is no formal childcare available as part of the convention offerings. You would need to make all arrangements for family members.
